Naming Friesian Babies – a Vox Pox piece

The Friesian registry only allowed foals to have names that start with letters assigned to the year. For example, 2009 was a D, E, or F year. Next year, 2010, is G, H, or I.

Friesian Blood & Baroque Horse is a magazine for those who love its namesake—Friesians and baroque horses. Other baroque breeds include Lusitanos, Gypsy Vanners, and Andalusians. All these breeds are traced back to the Middle Ages and renowned for the strong but agile physique. Unfortunately, it has no electronic form, just a subscription to print.
